Trudy Overlock has worked in a variety of fields, including baking, retail, public relations, secretarial and para-legal, photographic coloring, advertising, copy writing, and mural and stage art. She was a private secretary for a Wall Street financier–and is a maker of amazing pies. She designed the home where she raised her two stepsons.
As if all that wasn’t enough she is also a singer and has been a professional vocalist, preforming at Maine’s Lakewood Inn, among other venues. She’s volunteered to sing for veterans at the Togus Veterans’ Hospital and inmates at the Maine State Prison.
To round out her Renaissance list of skills, she founded and runs a gallery where over a hundred of her paintings are on display in the eighteenth-century Vassalboro house that she personally restored. It’s there that she wrote Visions in Poems and Poetry.
